The Aquarea super-efficient air source heat pumps are easy to install, simple to control, cheap to run and offer outstanding energy performance. Offering capacities from 3 kW to 16 kW, whatever the heating and cooling needs for a contract, the Aquarea Heat Pump Range ensures a system is available. Suitable for new build and refurbishment projects, particularly those in off-gas areas, the systems are cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
New models include Aquarea 3 and 5kW Bi-Bloc and 6 and 9kW Mini Mono-Bloc versions offering; maximum savings, maximum efficiency, maximisation of space, whilst minimising CO2 emissions. Designed for homes with high performance requirements, the new Aquarea Bi-Bloc and Mono-Bloc heat pumps provide heating and hot water, whatever the weather (even when outdoor temperatures are as low as -20°C).
Specially designed for low consumption homes, there are 'heating-only' and 'heating-&-cooling' versions of the new Aquarea 3/5 kW models. Panasonic’s patented refrigeration cycle and flow control are combined with a high efficiency R2 inverter and heat exchange module to deliver impressive energy savings. The new Aquarea is ideally suited to underfloor heating, with no need to specify an oversized heat pump or back-up heater. Even at a temperature of -7°C, a 3kW or 5kW Aquarea unit will deliver the desired result.
In fact, the Aquarea 3.2kW model achieves a top-class COP (coefficient of performance) of 5 at temperatures of 7ºC and is capable of maintaining capacity and efficiency at outdoor temperatures as low as -20ºC.
Marc Diaz, Panasonic’s UK and Ireland Country Manager said: “Heat Pumps are proving extremely popular with specifiers and contractors looking to provide reliable, easy to use heating and hot water systems with maximum energy efficiencies. Expanding the Aquarea range enables us to offer a solution – whatever the project.”
The comprehensive Aquarea Heat Pump range comprises both single and three-phase offerings and Monobloc and bi-bloc systems (separate indoor and outdoor units). The outdoor units have been designed to be super-quiet, and have a rating of only 47/48dB – ideal for installation in apartment blocks and high-density living where quiet units are required to avoid upsetting neighbours. The Mono-Bloc units also include a built in 6 litre expansion vessel which both simplifies the installation and reduces costs.
